Balance2life takes your right to privacy seriously and we are committed to fulfilling our obligations under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act), including the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and all other relevant laws and regulations relating to privacy and personal information. The Balance2life Privacy Policy applies to information that Balance2life Group. (“Balance2life” or “we”) collects on www.balance2life.com.au (the “Online Platform”).
When Does This Privacy Policy Apply?
This Privacy Policy applies to personal data collected via the Balance2life Online Platform. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any website or service that does not display or link to this Privacy Policy. If a particular Service refers or links to a different privacy policy (or similar notice), then that privacy policy -- not this Privacy Policy -- applies.

“Personal information” When used in this policy, the term “personal information” has the meaning given to it in the Privacy Act. In general terms, it is any information or opinion that can be used to identify, or reasonably identify, you.

- Members have a profile automatically generated for them. This profile can be viewed at any time and is always defaulted to private / hidden.
We may use your Personal Data to contact you with newsletters, campaigns or promotional materials. You may opt-out of receiving any, or all, of these communications via your member profile page or by following the unsubscribe link.
Participation with Balance2life is completely optional. Choosing not to participate means that your input will not be gathered and used for the purposes above.
We do not collect sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act), unless individuals provide it to us voluntarily (or opting in). By opting in and providing this information, which includes information that relates to your general health you consent to the collection of sensitive information about you by Balance2life.
Usage Data:
We may also collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Online Platform or when you access the Online Platform by or through a mobile device (“Usage Data”).
This Usage Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of the Online Platform that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
When you access our website through a mobile device, this Usage Data may include information such as the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser you use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

How We Protect Your Information
We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, and data stored on our website.
Sensitive and private data exchange between the Balance2life online platform and its users happens over industry standard Transport Layer Security (“TLS”) to create a secure connection using 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (“AES”) encryption. There is no non-TLS option for connecting to Balance2life. All connections are made securely over HTTPS and all internal message queues are encrypted using AES-256 GCM.
Data is hosted on Microsoft Azure Services located in Australia. Microsoft Azure maintains multiple certifications for its data centers, including ISO 27001 and 27018 compliance, PCI Certification, and SOC reports. Balance2life enforces strict access controls for its internal employees to ensure data confidentiality for clients. Only employees who need access to your information to perform a specific task or function are granted access to such information. Furthermore, physical controls are in place to ensure data is only accessible by balance2life employees. All staff computers are protected by automatic password time-outs after 5 minutes of inactivity; and full disk encryption is enforced on company and personal devices where possible.
In addition, all Balance2life employees must abide by this Privacy Policy and are kept up-to-date on security practices.
Sharing Your Personal Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent users personal identification information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information with our Corporate Clients (your employer).
Data Storage
All of the Personal Information we collect is housed, stored and protected in data centres within Australia which are heavily fortified using Microsoft Azure services data centres.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of the public area of our website. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualise and personalise the ads of its own advertising network.

Cookies
We use cookies in a limited manner when you visit our website, for the purpose of providing you with a better and more customised service. Cookies are not used by us to collect and store your personal information. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site.
We use cookies for purposes such as:

Storage and Removing Personal Information
Your Personal Information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information.

Balance2life is committed to complying in all respects with the requirements of all Australian Privacy Laws and where required, the provisions of the GDPR. You can also play an important role in keeping your Personal Information secure, by maintaining the confidentiality of any password and accounts used to access the Online Platform. Please notify us immediately if there is any unauthorised use of your account by any other user or any other breach of security relating to your account.
Data Reporting
Balance2life may aggregate information collected though the Services and remove identifiers so that the information neither identifies nor can be used to identify an individual who uses the Services (“Aggregated Data”). Because it cannot be used to identify any specific individual, Aggregated Data is not considered “personal data.”
When using the Balance2life online platform the subscribing employer can receive reports on the overall profile of the user population as well as reports on engagement levels. Any information shared with employers is aggregated de-identified data. Individual users are never identified via these reports. Reports for employers can be segmented into subgroups e.g. individual departments. To minimise the risk of identification of individual users these reports are withheld when the group size is below a minimum threshold of users.

Social Media
The Balance2life online platform includes social media sharing features and widgets. These features may collect your IP address of the page you are visiting and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social Media Features and Widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Websites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to these features. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy and other policies of the companies providing them.
For EU/UK Individuals
For information collected about you in the European Union or United Kingdom, which is subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we will only collect, use and share your personal information where we are satisfied that we have an appropriate legal basis to do this.
